Introduction

L’Association Touristique d’Haïti (ATH) is a non for profit national association, founded in 1951 and recognized of public interest in 1956.

ATH aims to be the voice of all tourism related activities in Haiti. As such, it represents, protects, guides, and informs its members to enable them to adapt to new realities and improve the performance of their businesses.

In January 2015, the current board of directors of ATH was established and set as a priority to serve as mentors and improve the structure and the quality of their members’ businesses alike.

Today ATH holds over a hundred members from Hotels and Guest houses, Art Galleries, Airlines, Travel Agencies, Receptive Operators, Tour Operators, Marina, Attractions and Entertainment, Rent-a-Car, Restaurants, Ground transportation as well as affiliated members which provide support services to our primary stakeholders.

To help develop member service skills, ATH has coordinated, through a partnership with international entities to set internship programs for managerial employees. This program has enabled to reinforce their knowledge through hands-on experience in hotels and resorts in more developed destinations throughout the region.

ATH coincides these efforts with promoting the development of young Haitians interested in the tourism industry allowing them to have access to training programs in Haiti and abroad.

In addition, ATH collaborates with the development of a more positive image of Haiti that distinguishes itself from others of the Caribbean by its Cultural Heritage, its Rich History and Archaeology.

Together with the Ministry of Tourism, ATH is involved in promoting the destination with reinforced presence in major Cultural Events, Tourist fairs and also welcoming familiarization trips to Haiti for tour operators, travel agencies and tourism journalists. This Shared vision from each entity is determined to promote the authenticity Haiti has to offer to the world.
